Stock Forecasting

Mintsoft Stock Forecasting gives 3PLs and multichannel sellers the forward-looking demand visibility they need to replenish the right SKUs at the right time - all without leaving the platform.

Why Use Mintsoft Stock Forecasting?

Stay ahead of demand

Manual stock checks and spreadsheets only tell you where you are today. Mintsoft Stock Forecasting projects demand forward by up to 180 days, so you can see which SKUs are at risk before they run out, not after.

Prevent stockouts and protect revenue

Every stockout is a lost sale. Mintsoft Stock Forecasting calculates days-until-stockout and assigns each product a High, Medium, or Low stockout risk rating, so your team can prioritise replenishment where it matters most.

Turn forecasts into purchase orders in seconds

Reorder suggestions aren't just reports, they're actionable. Convert multiple suggestions into a Purchase Order or ASN in a single action, directly inside Mintsoft, without the need to export, switch tools or manual re-entry.

Factor in kits, bundles, and bill of materials

Mintsoft accounts for kit and Bill of Materials (BOM) consumption when projecting demand, so component-level stock is forecasted accurately, not just finished goods. This is especially valuable for 3PLs managing complex product structures on behalf of clients.

Built for multi-warehouse operations

Whether you need per-warehouse forecasting or a combined view across all locations, Mintsoft Stock Forecasting supports both. Ideal for high-volume operations managing large SKU catalogues across multiple fulfilment sites.

Configurable to your business and your clients'

Set forecast method, history period, forecast horizon, service level target, and supplier lead times at the client level. Apply per-product overrides for different supplier scenarios.

Track forecast accuracy over time

Mintsoft monitors how accurate your forecasts are over time, so you can continuously improve your replenishment decisions.

Everything in one platform

Competitors typically require external forecasting tools bolted on to your WMS. Mintsoft uses your native order data, existing supplier and PO workflows, and on-order stock visibility all in one place.

Stock Forecasting FAQs

Who is Mintsoft Stock Forecasting designed for?

It's built for existing Mintsoft customers, 3PLs and multichannel retailers, particularly high-volume operations managing large SKU catalogues across multiple warehouses. The module works best when there is sufficient order history to draw from, so it's most powerful for established customers.

Do I need to use external forecasting software?

No. Mintsoft Stock Forecasting is a native module that uses your existing order data, supplier records, and PO workflows all within Mintsoft. There's no need to export data to a third-party tool.

How far ahead can I forecast?

You can forecast demand up to 180 days into the future. The horizon is configurable per client.

Does it account for seasonality?

Yes. The module applies day-of-week patterns and same-period-last-year seasonal factors to improve the accuracy of demand projections.

What about kits and bundles?

Yes. Kit and Bill of Materials consumption is included in the demand projection, so component-level stock is forecasted accurately alongside finished goods.

Can I set different settings for different products or suppliers?

Yes. Forecast method, history period, horizon, service level target, and lead times are all configurable at the client level, with per-product overrides available for different supplier scenarios.

Does it take into account stock that's already on order?

Yes. On-order stock is factored into the reorder decision, so you won't receive duplicate suggestions for stock that's already been ordered.

How do reorder suggestions work?

When a product reaches its reorder point, Mintsoft generates a reorder suggestion. You can select multiple suggestions and convert them into a Purchase Order or ASN in a single action directly inside Mintsoft.

Does it support multiple warehouses?

Yes. Mintsoft Stock Forecasting supports both per-warehouse forecasting and a combined "all warehouses" view, making it suitable for operations running multiple fulfilment sites.
