Product Development Update – June 2025

Add the new Mintsoft Mobile App, to your Mintsoft package and take control of your inventory, order picking and warehouse management from handheld scanning devices.

Offering everything the previous app had, and more; the key functionality of the new app includes:

Inbound Receipts: Increase efficiency of inbound purchase orders using ASNs with one-stage location scanning straight to storage locations, or two-stage put away to bays and then transfer to locations. 

Order Picking: Multiple pick methods available to optimise outbound picking for all order types, with efficient pick routes. Picks can be assigned to specific users or in an open-pool and paused/reconvened when needed. 

Stock Transfers: Easily transfer stock around the warehouse using single transfer or multi product transfer supported for replanning stock from bulk locations down to ground floor pick locations with suggested pick locations provided.

Pallet ID Management: Generate Pallet ID labels dynamically on inbound or scan and verify external Pallet ID labels, and track stock assigned to Pallet IDs throughout its life in the warehouse. 

Parcel Verification: Scan the parcels into the correct goods out location for the collecting courier to reduce potential shipping areas at the end of the packing process.

Accessibility: Supporting light/dark modes to reduce eye strain, alongside voice to speech and voice-assisted picking for hands-free guidance to picking locations.

Thanks to extensive testing with our Early Adopters, we’ve been able to further develop the app, to ensure it’s better than ever! Recent releases for the app have also added the following functionality:

Outstanding Task icons added for Picking & ASNs

New icon badges have been added for picking and ASN tasks to give users immediate visibility of how many orders they have to pick and ASNs to receive without having to click into each task area:

Batch Priority Flag

You can now set 3 separate levels of priority against picking batches to make sure urgent & next day batches are picked as a priority, above lower priority batches.

Batches assigned with P1 – Urgent priority will always appear at the top of the outstanding batch lit to pick from meaning you’ll never miss dispatch SLAs:

Pick from alternative locations

You can now pick from alternative locations for all pick methods on the new app if stock is not available in the initial location or its not desirable to pick from that location.

The app will automatically unallocate stock from the initial location and re-allocate stock from the newly chosen location.

Mobile printing enabled for carton/pallet IDs

You can now print carton/pallet ID labels automatically to a mobile printer device – Brother - https://www.thebarcodewarehouse.co.uk/shop/brother/mobile-printers/RJ4250WB/

This means you no longer have to have pre-printed rolls of pallet ID labels for each type of pallet you are receiving.

Carton/Pallet ID added to flexi pick screen

If you are picking a full carton/pallet ID or picking and item within a carton/pallet ID – the flexi pick method will now display the relevant carton/pallet ID and allow you to verify the pick by scanning the ID label.

New flow added to receive carton/pallets using auto generate label for faster receipt

A much faster flow has been added for receiving ASNs into auto generated Pallet IDs – all Pallet/Carton IDs will be auto receipted into a goods in location without being prompted to confirm each time, significantly speeding up the process.

An associated put away task will auto generate once ASN receipt is completed to transfer the pallet/carton IDs to relevant storage locations.

Book Inventory Flow on New App (coming early June)

Book inventory flow changed to replicate old app where product is scanned first before location, which speeds up the process and is much simpler for adding items with additional inventory attributes.

Batch Suggester

This new premium feature will automatically find matching orders with the same SKU composition. Simply enter the minimum amount of orders you want to find that match & the minimum number of SKUs and the system will display all possible matches:

For high-volume, this will save a vast amount of admin time, for those who want to bulk ship the orders for rapid pick & pack.

Unified Replenishment Solution on desktop & app

A huge new feature coming to Mintsoft soon – a unified Replenishment solution for both reactive & proactive replenishment, will be available on both the desktop & app, offering an improvement to the current solution.

Previously this has only been available on desktop which required manual PDF exports to be printed and then transferred separately onto scanners.

Replenishments will auto-generate and be available on the scanner at all times, with a full audit trail of the replenishment available on desktop (time completed / user / amount replanned and location replanned from).
